The MSDS curriculum mandates 36 credit hours, focusing on specialized data science coursework. This structured program follows a sequential course sequence, where each class builds upon previous concepts. Starting in summer, courses during this term span four to five weeks, while fall and spring classes run for seven to eight weeks. Students can pursue the one-year option either on-campus or online, while the two-year track is exclusively online. Professionals in the program progress through core courses as a cohort, fostering a dynamic collaborative learning atmosphere. Throughout the program, you'll develop connections with classmates from varied professional and academic backgrounds, expanding your professional network by graduation. Earn your degree in just one year, or opt for a more flexible pace with the online two-year track. Our MSDS instructors are active technology professionals who bring practical industry insights into the classroom. Their specializations encompass computer-assisted decision analysis, information needs assessment, operations optimization, healthcare data analytics, information economics, and other relevant fields.
