This program provides advanced studies in literature, creative writing, and linguistics. Designed to go beyond undergraduate education, it offers a unique learning experience focused on deeper exploration and cultivating analytical skills. The English Department provides both in-person and online M.A. programs, with identical course offerings across both formats. The English M.A. is a 36-credit degree with thesis and non-thesis tracks. The thesis path involves 30 credits of graduate coursework plus a thesis (6 credits) requiring writing and defense. The non-thesis alternative consists of 36 credits of coursework plus a portfolio defense, featuring revised essays or creative works accompanied by a reflective analysis.

Qualification Requirements
International applicants must provide original language documents and English translations. If the documents are not provided in English, an official English translation of all transcripts/ individual semester mark sheets is required.
If admitted, the applicant will be required to submit official transcripts, diplomas/degree certificates, and test scores by the twelfth class day of the term to which the applicant is admitted.
Original or Certified Copies of All College and University Transcripts - Include mark sheets, examination results, etc. An official English translation is required. If the degree is not complete when the application is made, six semesters or three years of course work are required.
All international applicants must be in good academic standing at any school they are currently attending. All international applicants must have been in good standing in all schools they previously attended at their final matriculation.
