The Graduate Certificate in Applied Forensic Engineering offers a customizable curriculum enabling students to explore engineering's impact on product safety, public welfare, and legal regulations. Participants can tailor their studies to specific interests while maintaining ongoing communication with program director Professor Jahan Rasty from the Mechanical Engineering Department.
The program requires completion of 6 credit hours of core courses plus 6 credit hours from approved engineering electives. Beyond these 12 credit hours, students must undertake a practical forensic engineering project, with its parameters jointly defined and approved by both the student and program director. Final project deliverables include a comprehensive technical report and oral presentation submitted to the program director for evaluation.

Qualification Requirements

International applicants must provide original language documents and English translations. If the documents are not provided in English, an official English translation of all transcripts/ individual semester mark sheets is required.
If admitted, the applicant will be required to submit official transcripts, diplomas/degree certificates, and test scores by the twelfth class day of the term to which the applicant is admitted.
Original or Certified Copies of All College and University Transcripts - Include mark sheets, examination results, etc. An official English translation is required. If the degree is not complete when the application is made, six semesters or three years of course work are required.
All international applicants must be in good academic standing at any school they are currently attending. All international applicants must have been in good standing in all schools they previously attended at their final matriculation.
TOEFL - The minimum TOEFL score required is 550 (paper-based version) or 79 (internet-based version).
IELTS - The minimum IELTS required score is an overall band score of 6.5 on the Academic version.
