Advances in scientific disciplines continue to shape new or updated laws and regulations. Modern challenges like digital piracy, biological threats, and climate change have tested traditional legal interpretations and their intersection with science. With growing public engagement in scientific matters, there's an urgent need to deepen our grasp of both legal and scientific principles to establish equitable and sensible legal systems. The Law and Science Concentration enables students to specialize in legal areas connected to scientific fields, requiring successful completion of specific coursework and rigorous research projects.

Identify and assess legal matters within biosecurity legislation. Examine case studies and articulate their real-world consequences. Decipher regulatory structures governing biosecurity. Develop comprehensive knowledge of legal practice and biosecurity law through hands-on experience. Formulate analytical approaches and problem-solving strategies for case studies, supported by in-depth research. Integrate biosecurity law coursework into practical legal theory and application.
