Geoscience is a multidisciplinary area that examines Earth and planetary systems and their changes over time. Professionals in this field utilize physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics to analyze Earth's development. Career opportunities exist in environmental engineering, energy sectors, mining industries, government agencies, as well as education, legal, and business fields. The Bachelor of Science in Geosciences often serves as a foundation for advanced studies in physical sciences or STEM-focused business programs. Undergraduate options include a B.A. with a geology focus and three B.S. specializations: geology, geophysics, and environmental geology. Enrollment in upper-level GEOL, GPH, and GCH courses may be restricted due to resource constraints. Students must complete at least 12 credit hours within the program to meet residency requirements.
