The School of Criminal Justice and Criminology is a dynamic academic hub, serving around 1,300 undergraduate students along with numerous master's and doctoral candidates. Students can access financial support via scholarships and graduate assistantships, where assistants help faculty with teaching and research activities. Through excellence in education, research, and community engagement, the School fosters knowledge creation while preparing students and professionals to enhance the justice system.
Course offerings span diverse subjects including law enforcement, justice policy, administrative practices, and theoretical criminology. Specialized classes cover crime assessment and statistical methods, complemented by partnerships with centers like ALERRT and the Texas School Safety Center.
The School provides a Master of Science in Criminal Justice (M.S.C.J.) with two specialized tracks: Research and Executive.
