Educators pursuing the M.A. in Educational Leadership with an instructional leadership specialization will refine their classroom instruction, gain mentoring skills for fellow teachers, and participate in collaborative school/district-wide improvement initiatives. The M.Ed. in Educational Leadership with principal certification, endorsed by the University Council for Educational Administration (UCEA), trains equity-minded leaders by grounding them in societal contexts and leveraging school/community resources for meaningful change.
The 36-credit M.A. in Educational Leadership (Instructional Leadership concentration) comprises 24 core credits (featuring hands-on instructional leadership courses) plus 12 minor credits. Tailored for teachers aspiring to leadership roles, coursework covers instructional supervision, curriculum design, leadership strategies, and action research. Students can customize their studies through electives in bilingual education, STEM fields, literacy, sciences, mathematics, or technology—aligning with their professional aspirations.
This instructional leadership master's program equips educators to drive academic improvement.
