The M.Acy. program holds accreditation from AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, a mark of excellence in business education for over 100 years. Only about 200 institutions globally achieve dual accreditation in both business and accounting. Students regularly secure accounting internships and full-time roles with Big-4 firms, mid-sized practices, regional companies, and local businesses. Alumni find employment in public accounting firms and corporations across the region and nationwide.
At the McCoy College of Business Department of Accounting, we focus on equipping our diverse student body for professional achievement in today's dynamic global marketplace. The Master of Accountancy (M.Acy.) degree enhances the knowledge base of those pursuing careers in public accounting. Participants examine how accounting information impacts decision-makers through its social, ethical, and environmental dimensions. This program fulfills Texas' 150-hour educational requirement for CPA exam eligibility, with no accounting undergraduate degree prerequisite.
