The M.Acy. program holds accreditation from AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, a mark of excellence in business education for over 100 years. Only a select group of under 200 institutions globally achieve dual accreditation in both business and accounting disciplines. Leading accounting firms, from the Big-4 to regional practices, regularly recruit our students for internships and permanent roles, with graduates securing positions across public accounting firms and corporations regionally and nationally.
At the McCoy College of Business Department of Accounting, we focus on equipping our diverse student body with the skills needed to thrive in today's dynamic global business environment. Our Master of Accountancy (M.Acy.) program enhances students' knowledge for careers in public accounting while examining accounting information's ethical, social, and environmental impacts on decision-makers. This program fulfills Texas' 150-hour educational requirement for CPA certification eligibility, with no prior accounting degree necessary.
