The Computer Science Department's goal is to enhance understanding of computing through teaching, research, and community engagement to benefit society. We provide two undergraduate degree paths - a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.). Our B.S. program holds accreditation from ABET's Computing Accreditation Commission (www.abet.org), meeting both general and computer science-specific standards. Every student follows a foundational curriculum establishing core computing principles. Advanced coursework allows specialization in emerging fields matching faculty expertise, equipping graduates for evolving tech careers. Alumni pursue varied paths such as software engineering, cyber defense, human-computer interaction design, AI/data analytics, and interactive media development. Many continue their education through graduate studies to deepen their expertise and contribute to computing research.
