The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art cultivates visually skilled artists by providing comprehensive training in conceptual development, technical proficiency, art history, and professional practices through diverse studio and academic coursework. Our Studio Art curriculum features seven specialized disciplines, offering exceptional learning opportunities in Ceramics, Drawing, Expanded Media, Metalsmithing, Painting, Printmaking, and Sculpture. These concentrations enable students to connect their artistic exploration with complementary interests and media across the Studio program. The B.F.A. culminates with a Thesis course, final Thesis Portfolio, and a Thesis Exhibition. This program supports varied artistic aspirations and equips graduates for professional careers as practicing artists and arts administrators. The School of Art and Design promotes creative and scholarly work that enhances students' conceptual and technical skills while fostering strong visual communication abilities.
This course provides students with hands-on professional experience in studio arts while earning academic credit for their fieldwork.
