The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art cultivates visually skilled artists by providing comprehensive training in conceptual development, technical proficiency, art history, and professional practice through diverse studio and academic coursework. Our Studio Art curriculum features seven specialized disciplines, offering exceptional learning opportunities in Ceramics, Drawing, Expanded Media, Metals, Painting, Printmaking, and Sculpture. These disciplines serve as pathways for students to connect their artistic exploration with other mediums and interests across the Studio program. The B.F.A. culminates with a Thesis course, final Thesis Portfolio, and Thesis Exhibition. This program supports varied artistic ambitions and equips graduates for professional careers as practicing artists and arts professionals. The School of Art and Design promotes creative and scholarly work that enhances students' conceptual and technical skills while building strong visual literacy.
