The Psychology Department provides an exceptional undergraduate program that draws over 2,100 majors and numerous minors. The program balances structure and choice, featuring essential core courses alongside diverse electives tailored to individual interests. Undergraduates can obtain hands-on research experience in faculty labs and practical job training through faculty-supervised internships. Leadership, communication, and teamwork skills are cultivated through participation in the Psychology Association and Texas State's Psi Chi chapter, the international psychology honor society.

First-time college applicants are required to graduate or have graduated from a foreign secondary school with an academic profile equivalent to that of a U.S. high school curriculum.
Graduate with the equivalent of a U.S. high school diploma.

We strongly encourage anyone who is not offered freshman admission to attend another college, complete 30 hours of transferable credit with a minimum GPA of a 2.25, and apply for transfer admission.
