Recognized by the Council on Social Work Education, Texas A&M University-Kingsville's Clinical/Activist MSW program equips graduates for specialized social work practice serving diverse communities across rural U.S./Mexico border areas and surrounding regions. This MSW program trains students for various roles in social work and human services. Graduates qualify to take Texas's master's-level social work licensing exam, though other states may have different requirements.
Prospective students for both MSW program options (detailed below) must complete university admission requirements while also meeting specific MSW program criteria. Visit the Admission to MSW section (left navigation) for full details. All admissions are initially conditional, requiring students to achieve a 3.0 GPA in their first semester for full acceptance.
