Welcome to the Department of Health and Kinesiology (HKN). Our facilities are located in both the Steinke Physical Education Center (SPEC) and the Health and Recreation Building (HREC, also known as The Old Gym).
This program follows a traditional structure, requiring some in-person classes. Students who select this broad-based curriculum appreciate the freedom to explore various kinesiology specializations while customizing their studies to align with personal goals. Degree options include: a 36-credit coursework path, a 36-credit program with a research project/internship, or a 30-credit thesis track.
Available through conventional classroom instruction, this focused program attracts students dedicated to health and exercise science. Participants can complete their degree through: 36 credits of coursework alone, 36 credits including research/internship components, or 30 credits culminating in a thesis.
Exclusively available online, this concentration requires admission to our digital learning program. Designed for sport management enthusiasts, it offers three completion paths: 36-credit coursework, 36-credit with research/internship, or 30-credit thesis option.
