The Chemistry Department provides a Master of Science program with two distinct pathways: a General Chemistry Track or a Biochemistry Track. The General Chemistry Track encompasses all chemistry disciplines, while the Biochemistry Track focuses primarily on Biochemistry and related fields. Students in either track can select from three degree paths: (i) thesis-based, (ii) research project-based, or (iii) coursework-only.
The department also offers a graduate certificate in Nano Materials Science and Engineering, awarded upon successful completion (grade B or higher) of specified coursework.
General Chemistry Track candidates must demonstrate competency by completing courses in four of five core chemistry areas: Organic, Inorganic, Analytical, Physical, and Biochemistry. The specific degree requirements vary based on the selected option.
