The Master of Science in Geospatial Systems Engineering equips students with expertise in researching, designing, developing, and applying geospatial surveying technologies. This program expands on the ABET-accredited undergraduate Geographic Information Science (GISc) curriculum and complements the existing GIS specialization within the computer science master's program. It addresses regional, state, and national demands for advanced professionals in geospatial systems design and surveying engineering. With 30 credit hours of intentionally broad coursework, the program accommodates diverse industry applications. Graduates will gain specialized knowledge and technical abilities for research, innovation, and implementation in geospatial systems engineering, meeting critical workforce needs at multiple levels.

Official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate course work taken at any accredited college or University attended. TAMU-CC transcript is not required.
Official GRE scores (Within five years of the date of application) - WAIVED thru Fall 2022
Essay (Up to 1000 words in length which includes educational and professional goals and the potential areas of interest)
Official TOEFL/IELTS scores are required for international applicants from countries where English is not the native language. (Within two years of the date application)

Applicants must contact potential advisors prior to and during the application process to discuss research opportunities in faculty member labs. A faculty member must be willing to serve as the chair of the applicant's Graduate Advisory Committee and the applicant must include a summary of their discussions with faculty members in their essay. Applicants who do not have a faculty member willing to serve as their committee chair will not be admitted to the program.
