The Master of Arts (MA) in Clinical Psychology is a 60-credit graduate program focused on teaching psychological science and its clinical applications. This curriculum aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed for professional practice at the master's level, qualifying them for licensure. The program begins with foundational psychology courses before moving into specialized clinical training. Hands-on experience is gained through supervised clinical practicums, and students have the option to pursue a research thesis with faculty guidance.

Qualification Requirements

Official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate course work taken at any accredited college or University attended (Foreign College credits/transcripts require an official foreign evaluation). TAMU-CC transcript is not required.
A bachelor's degree in psychology, or a bachelor's degree with 15 semester hours of undergraduate coursework in psychology for unconditional admission. This foundational undergraduate coursework must include general psychology, statistics, experimental psychology, and six hours of upper division psychology electives. (Students may be conditionally accepted into the program contingent upon completion of the required undergraduate courses).
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
GRE is waived if:
1. You are a PSYCH major, and your PSYCH GPA is 3.25 or higher
2. You are not a PSYCH major, and your TOTAL GPA is 3.25 or higher
3. You have a Masters degree
2 Letters of Recommendation from individuals such as professors and employers who can attest to the applicant's potential for success in a graduate program of study. Letters of recommendation should specifically address the applicant's potential for a successful career as well as qualifications and motivation for graduate study.
