The Criminal Justice Program offers a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and contributes to the Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences Degree through courses relevant to Criminal Justice, Community and Mental Health, and Legal Studies specializations. This program has two primary goals: delivering an in-depth comprehension of the criminal justice system and its elements, while also allowing students to either focus on a specific area through specialized coursework or explore diverse aspects of the field via elective choices tailored to their interests.
Designed to equip students for professional careers, the curriculum blends essential Criminal Justice courses with a foundation in arts, sciences, humanities, and social sciences. Students work closely with faculty to select core classes and suggested electives that align with their academic and career aspirations. The program also serves as excellent preparation for graduate studies or law school. Additionally, Criminal Justice courses are valuable social science electives for students outside the major.
