The Bachelor of Fine Arts program offers specialized undergraduate training in visual arts, focusing on intensive studio practice. Students complete at least 75 credit hours in art courses, including 36 upper-level credits. The curriculum aims to: expose students to diverse artistic media and techniques, explore historical and contemporary art forms and their societal roles, offer art education opportunities for non-majors, and enrich campus and community culture through exhibitions at Weil Gallery. The program offers both BA and BFA tracks, with BFA students able to specialize in Printmaking, Painting, Sculpture, Ceramics, Photography, Drawing, or Art History through elective courses.
Graduates will achieve professional competency in visual arts, master studio techniques, comprehend theoretical and historical concepts (demonstrated through senior exhibitions), and develop advanced skills in their chosen specialization.
