We aim to inspire students through an inclusive and multifaceted educational approach that builds a strong base for comprehending human behavior and social dynamics. As the biggest department in the College of Liberal Arts, we provide bachelor's programs in Psychology and Sociology, along with minors in Social Work and Women and Gender Studies. Additionally, we offer a clinically focused master's degree in Psychology. Our undergraduate program equips graduates for diverse career paths in community organizations, HR departments, and mental health services. The master's program, among the university's most respected, prepares future clinicians for various mental health settings. Sociology examines human societies scientifically. On a broad scale, it analyzes entire societies and their institutions like family, economy, religion, government, and education. On a personal level, it explores daily interactions within small groups. Our sociology program seeks to: teach sociological theories and terminology, foster research methodology comprehension, ready students for advanced sociology studies, and develop practical skills for public or private sector careers.
