Psychology students at TAMUCC gain access to a top-tier, stimulating education in psychological science. Our diverse faculty specialize across multiple modern psychology disciplines, spanning developmental psychology, social psychology, experimental psychology, personality psychology, and clinical psychology. The Bachelor of Arts curriculum offers psychology majors a comprehensive foundation in the field. Students can engage in faculty-supervised research projects within our department. Aligned with the University's vision, Psychology aims to explore, share, and implement insights about human behavior in our evolving world. The undergraduate program has three primary objectives: establishing fundamental psychological knowledge for graduate studies in specialized areas like clinical, counseling, cognitive, social, or developmental psychology; delivering broad disciplinary expertise applicable to human services, business, communications, and research careers; and enhancing the education of non-psychology majors. On-campus learning combines in-person, hybrid, and digital course options, while the online BA program delivers all psychology requirements virtually. Note that online course schedules vary from on-campus offerings and may have limited course availability.
