This program equips students with advanced specialized training to prepare them for technical roles in industry or doctoral studies in science and engineering. Through rigorous coursework, students gain deeper knowledge of core MSEN subjects including thermodynamics, kinetics, solid-state physics, and materials mechanical behavior. The curriculum also expands students' horizons through specialized MSEN seminars and courses. The M.S. program offers flexibility with both thesis (research-focused) and non-thesis (course-focused) degree paths. Thesis-track students collaborate with faculty advisors to develop research proposals and complete oral defenses and presentations of their work.
