The science education program incorporates cutting-edge technologies like web-based community platforms, distance learning tools, and portable data-gathering devices. Students can pursue either a thesis-based Master of Science (M.S.) or a non-thesis Master of Education (M.Ed.), along with Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programs tailored for those pursuing academic careers with research and teaching focuses. The TLAC department frequently provides financial support for full-time Ph.D. candidates. Each student collaborates with faculty advisors to create a customized study plan that aligns with their professional aspirations while meeting departmental requirements. Financial support options include teaching undergraduate teacher education courses, conducting joint research with professors, and participating in funded initiatives like K16 educational innovations and teacher training programs. The M.Ed. requires 36 credit hours.
