Family law deals with legal matters concerning marriage, dissolution of marriage, child and juvenile cases, guardianship arrangements, adoption processes, and related subjects. To qualify for the Family Law Concentration, students need to complete at least 16 credit hours from the specified core and elective courses. A minimum GPA of 2.33 is required in all courses counting toward the concentration. Courses taken for a letter grade cannot be applied if completed on a pass/fail basis. While course substitutions are typically not permitted, exceptions may be made under special circumstances.
