The Oceans and One Health program is an interdisciplinary specialization that enables students to examine the connections between human, animal, and ecosystem health within coastal regions. Designed for aspiring medical, dental, veterinary, or healthcare professionals, as well as those concerned with coastal community health challenges, this adaptable yet comprehensive curriculum offers a strong foundation in biological, physical, and environmental sciences alongside health-related fields. Participants can customize their academic path by selecting from various concentration electives and minors to align with their career aspirations.

Through collaboration with the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston, qualified Oceans and One Health students who complete 95 credit hours at TAMUG and gain admission to UTMB may pursue a Clinical Laboratory Sciences minor. This pathway incorporates the initial semester's coursework for UTMB's MS in Clinical Laboratory Sciences degree.
