The growing pressures of population expansion and economic prosperity on our planet's resources and ecosystems call for more skilled experts and educated individuals. This Environmental Studies Bachelor of Science program combines a multidisciplinary approach to Earth's surface systems and ecological challenges with the policy and governance aspects of human-environment interactions. The curriculum prepares students to address scientific, societal, and regulatory dimensions of environmental concerns affecting our region and country, whether they pursue careers in government agencies, private sector, or advocacy groups. Students specialize in one of five concentration areas during advanced studies: 1) urban ecosystems, 2) workplace health and safety, 3) environmental policy and enforcement, 4) Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology, or 5) international environmental issues.
