The four-year Bachelor of Science in Architecture program equips students with the skills needed for rewarding careers in fields related to the built environment. This curriculum nurtures innovative thinking and analytical abilities, offers comprehensive learning resources, and develops strong competencies by integrating design studies, architectural history, theory and critique, visual representation, construction technology, and community-focused professional practice. The coursework promotes cross-disciplinary approaches and collaborative work styles, fostering effective communication and teamwork. Required international study programs and internships with domestic and global firms enable students to apply classroom knowledge in real-world settings, then bring those experiences back to enrich their academic and local communities.
This degree covers diverse design disciplines, opening career paths in graphic design, product design, interior spaces, robotics, and architectural practice. Aspiring licensed architects must complete an NAAB-accredited Master of Architecture program following their undergraduate studies. Many BS students enhance their education by pursuing minors such as Art and Architectural History, Sustainable Architecture and Planning, Architectural Fabrication and Product Design, or Architectural Heritage Conservation through the Department of Architecture.
