The integrated Bachelor's and Master's program spans five years, offering BA COMM students a smooth transition into the MA COMM program, enabling them to complete both degrees in five years or less.
Admission begins each fall semester. Applicants should apply during their junior year spring semester, with at least two remaining undergraduate terms. Both undergraduate and graduate academic advisors will provide continuous support throughout the program. This initiative enhances learning and development opportunities for students at Texas A&M University. By extending their academic journey, students can explore advanced coursework and fully engage with the diverse offerings of our department.
This program is ideal for students entering Texas A&M with examination credits, dual enrollment, or community college credits. The extra year allows these students—who might otherwise graduate in two to three years—to immerse themselves in campus life, assume leadership roles, secure transformative internships, study abroad, collaborate on faculty research, and compete for prestigious fellowships or other university programs. Earning a Master's degree adds significant value, fostering deeper mentorship connections between students and faculty while broadening career prospects and academic interests.
