The Bachelor of Arts program provides students with a solid, well-rounded chemistry foundation through numerous elective options, while allowing them to focus deeply on another field. This is achieved through the BA program's adaptable structure and the requirement to minor in a complementary discipline. Extra elective credits enable even greater academic exploration.
Compared to the BS degree, the BA offers greater flexibility for designing a study plan that blends chemistry with other interests like biochemistry, biology, business, computer science, education, forensics, medicine, or physics. While potentially less technically intensive, the BA program serves students aiming for careers in chemical sales, marketing, law, technical writing, pre-college teaching, science journalism, and various other fields that benefit from chemical knowledge.
