Successful completion of a master's thesis along with required coursework and credit hours leads to the conferral of a Master of Science degree. This thesis must be guided by a graduate faculty committee comprising at least three members and accounts for six credit hours under ECON 599.
Our Economics Master's program features three distinct tracks: Master of Arts, Master of Science, and an Accelerated option. Graduates with this economics degree qualify for careers in government agencies, corporate settings, and community college instruction.
Students develop advanced data analysis capabilities and hands-on research experience using actual datasets. The department's Economics Computer Lab enables learners to conduct cutting-edge research utilizing industry-standard software such as Stata, EViews, Matlab, R, and Python.
