The Department of Computer Science provides a Master of Science program in Computer Science. This graduate program enables both recent graduates and professionals with work experience to advance their careers while exploring innovative computer science fields. Students can choose from three specialization tracks: (1) Data Science, (2) Cybersecurity and Networking, and (3) High-Performance Computing with Bioinformatics.
The M.S. program includes both thesis and non-thesis pathways. Completion requires 33 credit hours, comprising 9 credits of foundational core courses, 12 credits in the chosen concentration, 6 elective credits, plus either 6 credits of design courses (non-thesis) or 6 thesis credits (thesis option).
With advisor approval and department chair consent, students may request substitutions for certain core requirements.
