The Department of Music provides a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Music with specializations in Music Education, Commercial Music, and General Music. All music programs are nationally accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM). Additionally, the Music Education track holds approval from the Tennessee Department of Education and maintains CAEP accreditation through the university's teacher certification program, as recognized by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation.

Minimum grade point average of 2.50 on a 4.00 system.
An applicant whose native language is not English is required to submit a test score of 61 as the minimum acceptance level of performance on the Test of English as a Foreign Language, (TOEFL) IBT or 5.0 on the IELTS (International English Language Testing System). We will also accept the Duolingo English Test with a score of 71 or higher. International students with superior scholastic records are considered for admission as freshmen and as transfer students.
