The M.S.M.E. program equips students holding an undergraduate Engineering degree with the qualifications and foundation needed for careers in industrial R&D. Master both artificial and natural engineering systems, and acquire the skills to take a product from concept to market with the Mechanical Engineering Master of Science degree in the College of Engineering. Develop expertise in engineering principles ranging from mechanics to renewable energy and materials engineering. Qualification Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Discipline/Related Discipline: A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is the preferred prerequisite degree. However, students who have earned a bachelor's degree in a related field are encouraged to apply, with the understanding that remedial preparatory courses may be a pre-condition of admission to the M.S.M.E. program.
University regulations stipulate that the applicant must have earned a 3.0 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale in her/his undergraduate studies,

Standardized Test Scores:
GRE: Required. Scores must be no more than 5 years in advance of the application date.
Applicants who earned their baccalaureate degree from an institution where the language of instruction was other than English, with the exception of those who subsequently earned a master's degree at a U.S. institution, must report scores for a standardized test of English that meet these minimums:

550 on the paper-based (PBT)
The minimum admissions standard for all graduate students is ordinarily an undergraduate grade point average of B or 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or the functional equivalent for students who have attended universities outside of the United States.
