The Media Studies and Production master's program explores and crafts media within a worldwide context. We investigate both emerging and traditional media formats along with associated technologies, analyze industry methods and their interplay with governments, communities, other sectors, and societal influences, and assess audiences and their evolving connections with media. Our program fosters the creation of media that embodies significant concepts about personal, communal, and cultural experiences, offering routes to leadership roles across diverse fields: corporate and nonprofit communications, marketing and research, media production and management, academic study, as well as media promotion and advertising.

Qualification Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Discipline/Related Discipline: A baccalaureate degree in Communication, Media Studies, or the Humanities or Social Sciences is required.

Standardized Test Scores:
GRE: Optional. Scores that are submitted are preferred to be at least 60% verbal and at least 25% quantitative. A writing score of at least 3.5 is recommended.

Applicants who earned their baccalaureate degree from an institution where the language of instruction was other than English, with the exception of those who subsequently earned a master's degree at a U.S. institution, must report scores for a standardized test of English that meet these minimums:

The minimum admissions standard for all graduate students is ordinarily an undergraduate grade point average of B or 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or the functional equivalent for students who have attended universities outside of the United States.
