At its core, biotechnology applies biological systems to create technological solutions. It utilizes cellular and molecular mechanisms to produce innovations that enhance human life and environmental sustainability. Contemporary biotech delivers groundbreaking tools and products to fight severe illnesses, minimize ecological impact, address food shortages, utilize more efficient energy sources, and improve industrial production methods. Cutting-edge developments in this field are enabling us to tackle humanity's most urgent problems.
Requiring just 12 credits of fundamental courses, the Biotechnology graduate certificate allows students to earn specialized credentials in one or two semesters. Instruction comes from the same professors who teach in the Biotechnology PSM program. Certificate candidates complete identical core coursework to PSM students, minus the capstone requirement or the full 30-credit graduate degree commitment. This program prepares emerging biotech leaders through a customizable curriculum tailored to individual career goals.
