Physics explores the fundamental principles governing the natural world and its phenomena. This discipline encompasses diverse specialties, from subatomic particles to nuclear properties, atomic structures, macroscopic systems, and cosmic origins. The BS program provides excellent preparation for graduate studies in physics or related fields, while also serving students entering the scientific workforce after earning their bachelor's degree. Through the Plus 1 Accelerated Program, Physics majors in the College of Science and Technology can earn both their undergraduate degree and, in one additional year, a Master's in Secondary Education. This graduate program fulfills Pennsylvania's requirements for Physics Teacher Certification (Grades 7-12).
