The IS&T program equips students with comprehensive knowledge and strong fundamentals in information systems technology. Initial coursework emphasizes core principles in mathematics, coding, data management, network systems, and operating platforms. Upper-level classes delve into sophisticated areas including intricate problem-solving, system architecture, software development, cybersecurity, and advanced database applications. Students tackle real-world challenges through a year-long culminating project with actual clients. The accelerated 5-year BS/MS in Information Science and Technology, offered by the College of Science and Technology, allows exceptional IST students with a minimum of five Temple semesters to pursue graduate studies.
