This demanding 124-credit curriculum within the School of Theater, Film and Media Arts equips students for professional work in musical theater productions. With its cross-disciplinary approach, students enhance their theatrical studies through music and dance coursework in the Boyer College. Apply your developing skills by performing in various Center for Performing and Cinematic Arts productions, ranging from full-scale musicals to student-led shows and dramatic works. Additional creative outlets include vocal groups, dance recitals, and masterclasses with guest artists. Past productions have featured classics like Chicago, Guys and Dolls, Our Town, and Shakespearean works. The program's intimate environment fosters both personal and creative development, with faculty providing individualized artistic and academic guidance. Undergraduates may work alongside graduate students in the Musical Theater Collaboration program. Graduates have performed in Broadway shows, national tours, and at prominent Philadelphia venues such as the Arden Theater Company and Walnut Street Theatre.
