This Accelerated Program enables Natural Science undergraduates in the College of Science and Technology to earn both their bachelor's degree and, subsequently, a Master's in Middle Grades Education within one additional year. The graduate program fulfills the Pennsylvania Department of Education's criteria for Teacher Certification in Middle Grades Education (Grades 4-8). Beyond qualifying to teach all elementary subjects for grades 4-6, participants will also specialize in one of these certification tracks for grades 7-8: Dual certifications (Mathematics/Science, Mathematics/Language Arts/English, or Science/Language Arts/English) or Single certification (Language Arts/English, Mathematics, Science, or Social Studies).

Your application must include all official and original academic records from any secondary school you have ever attended.
If you are attending a secondary school curriculum that is four years, Temple University reviews grades nine through 11 as well as your current progress in 12th grade (term/quarter/semester/predicted) or your final transcript if you completed secondary school.
If you are attending a secondary school curriculum that is only three years, we strongly recommend you submit the final year of your primary school as well.
