The Media Studies and Production (MSP) program goes far beyond conventional communications or broadcasting degrees, equipping students for today's non-stop media landscape. Situated at the crossroads of theory and practice, MSP ensures graduates understand both the rationale and techniques behind media work, giving them a competitive edge. As media constantly evolves, the MSP curriculum prepares students not just for current opportunities but for future careers that haven't even emerged. Leveraging the country's fourth-largest media market as our extended classroom, we cultivate essential skills while emphasizing professional growth and networking from day one. Our dynamic, team-oriented program teaches practical media applications, multi-platform content creation, and hands-on experience with state-of-the-art audio/video production tools. Students explore media's historical development, cultural representations, legal/ethical considerations, and strategic media applications across industries from advertising to entertainment.
The Media Production Professional Option provides students with conceptual frameworks and technical skills for digital content creation. This track builds both practical expertise and critical thinking abilities, preparing graduates to create and assess media across platforms. Career paths include production roles, content creation, technical positions, and on-air opportunities in both traditional and digital media environments.
