An Italian studies student will enroll in specialized classes like Italian for Business, which teaches both the professional language and provides insights into Italy's economic landscape. Periodically offered special topics courses examine Italian identity through historical contexts that have both separated and brought together its people. These classes incorporate film and media analysis to explore how literature and history have influenced Italian culture, while also presenting diverse approaches to literary interpretation. Through the Plus 1 Accelerated Program, Liberal Arts undergraduates can earn their bachelor's degree followed by a Master's in Secondary Education the subsequent year. This graduate program fulfills Pennsylvania's certification standards for teaching Italian (PreK-12).
