This Accelerated Program enables Geology undergraduates in the College of Science and Technology to earn both their bachelor's degree and, subsequently, a Master's in Middle Grades Education within one additional year. The graduate program fulfills Pennsylvania's Department of Education requirements for Middle Grades Teaching Certification (Grades 4-8). Beyond qualifying to teach all elementary subjects for grades 4-6, participants will specialize in one of these certification paths for grades 7-8:
Dual specializations: Math & Science, Math & English/Language Arts, or Science & English/Language Arts
Single specialization: English/Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, or Social Studies

Your application must include all official and original academic records from any secondary school you have ever attended.
If you are attending a secondary school curriculum that is four years, Temple University reviews grades nine through 11 as well as your current progress in 12th grade (term/quarter/semester/predicted) or your final transcript if you completed secondary school.
If you are attending a secondary school curriculum that is only three years, we strongly recommend you submit the final year of your primary school as well.
