Our LL.M. program provides international legal professionals with the chance to enhance their skills by studying US legal systems and procedures. Graduates who fulfill all requirements will be awarded a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree, documented by an official transcript and diploma.
The LL.M. program can be completed in two to three semesters, allowing students to focus on specific legal fields or pursue a general curriculum. Alongside core requirements, our academic advisors and faculty members offer personalized guidance to help students choose courses that align with their career aspirations.
This specialized track, supported by the Disability Law and Policy Program (DLPP), leverages Syracuse University's renowned expertise in disability-related legal studies, research, and policy development.
Globally, nations are actively creating and enforcing laws to promote social inclusion for individuals with disabilities, largely influenced by the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (ratified by 150 countries). However, specialized knowledge in disability law remains scarce in many regions. This concentration in international, comparative, and domestic disability law aims to address this need by training legal professionals, policymakers, and academics to advocate for disability rights in their home countries.
