The Master of Fine Arts in Film is a graduate-level program designed to prepare students for professional filmmaking careers. This curriculum equally focuses on two key areas: creative filmmaking across dramatic, experimental, and documentary genres, alongside comprehensive film studies encompassing theory, criticism, and history. The program seamlessly blends production classes with academic coursework, fostering dynamic exchanges between conceptual thinking and hands-on implementation. This integration enables students to effectively translate theoretical concepts into creative practice. Tailored to address both professional and educational objectives in experimental and narrative filmmaking, the program features a distinctive interdisciplinary approach. Course offerings are available year-round, with select classes during summer terms.
