As a doctoral candidate, you'll examine the connections among political, economic, social, cultural, and historical factors within political science and two specialized areas. This curriculum equips you for careers as researchers, instructors, or professionals across private, public, and nonprofit organizations, both domestically and internationally. The Ph.D. is granted upon satisfactory completion of all coursework, passing qualifying exams, and successfully writing and defending a dissertation. Those pursuing the Ph.D. may receive an M.A. upon fulfilling the master's degree requirements.
