The C.A.S. program in School Counseling equips graduates to become compassionate, skilled counselors in academic environments who champion student needs while employing modern methodologies and innovative approaches.
Offered through the Department of Counseling and Human Services, this curriculum aligns with the American School Counselor Association's national framework, qualifying students for either provisional or permanent New York State Certification as School Counselors.
Requiring 30 graduate credits, the School Counseling certificate can be finished in one year of full-time study or adapted for working professionals through part-time enrollment. Each participant's academic journey is personally tailored through close faculty guidance.
