This dual-degree program allows students to pursue both a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering sequentially, aiming to fulfill all requirements within five years. Students can apply 6 credits of 500-level coursework toward both their undergraduate and graduate degrees. Transfer credits from SU's undergraduate program will appear on the graduate transcript and count toward degree requirements, though they won't factor into the graduate GPA calculation.
Eligibility requires current enrollment in Syracuse University's BS Mechanical Engineering program, with applications for the combined program due during the first semester of junior year. Admission decisions consider academic achievements. While students gain provisional graduate status after their third year, full graduate matriculation occurs only after completing all bachelor's degree requirements.
