This combined degree program enables students to pursue the Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering and the Master of Science in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering sequentially, aiming to fulfill both degree requirements within five years. Up to 6 credits from 500-level courses can be applied toward both the undergraduate and graduate degrees. Transfer credits designated as from SU's undergraduate record will appear on the graduate transcript and count toward the graduate degree requirements, though they do not factor into the graduate GPA calculation.
Applicants must be current BS Aerospace Engineering students at Syracuse University and should submit their application during the first semester of their junior year. Admission decisions are based on academic achievement. Students gain provisional acceptance for graduate studies after completing their third year but only achieve full graduate student status upon satisfying all bachelor's degree requirements.
