Students admitted to the MSED program through the Career & Technical Educator Preparation Department need to submit a Degree Candidacy application once they've earned between 12-18 credits. Coursework beyond 18 credits completed without achieving candidacy may not count toward the degree. To be eligible for candidacy, students must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA overall and fulfill all program requirements, including professional development activities and conditional admission criteria. The Graduate Studies Office receives the Degree Candidacy Application before forwarding it to the relevant department for evaluation. Students enrolled in the MSED program through the Career & Technical Educator Preparation Department must apply for Degree Candidacy after completing 12-18 program credits. Credits earned beyond 18 without achieving candidacy status may be lost.
